FreeTube

Hey everyone! I've been hard at work on v0.6.0 of FreeTube and I can gladly say that it will be out on Friday, June 14th. Keep an eye out for when the new release drops!

I will be spending this week testing out the new changes and making sure that they are stable as there's a lot to go through and I probably didn't catch everything. If any one would like to help out with testing please let me know through Matrix or through an email and I can send you a test build.

New SubReddit and Mastodon Account

I'm happy to announce that we have a new home at the /r/FreeTube subreddit. This allows a new way to keep up with updates related to FreeTube. Because our community is still small, I've set up the subreddit so that no one can make posts, but they can read and comment on existing posts. It was discussed through our Matrix server that we shouldn't split the community and instead encourage users to join the discussion on Matrix. We will have a general discussion post stickied on the subreddit, but please join us on Matrix if you'd like a more thorough discussion.

I am also planning on using Mastodon. Mastodon is a micro-blogging service similar to Twitter. You can find me at @freetube@mastodon.technology. You can learn more about Mastodon here. Feel free to give me a follow and I'll see you over there.
