Hello everyone! I hope that everyone has been doing well recently. If you feel like you haven't heard from me in a while, then that means that you haven't read my lastfewupdates. I highly recommend you give those a read when you're done here. The TLDR is that I've been spending a lot of time rewriting FreeTube in the past few months and there won't be many updates to the live release while I work on it. Today's update will be about fixing a few things that have been causing problems with FreeTube recently.
So, it's been very silent over the past couple of months. The world is very different now compared to when I last made a proper blog post. Despite that, I haven't let that stop me. In today's behind the scenes, I will be showing off some of the progress that's been made towards the rewrite of FreeTube. I also have a nice surprise at the end for those who are eager for the eventual release.

Most of you are likely aware at this point, but there have been some very nasty issues lately with videos unable to play. The TLDR of it is that YouTube has been IP banning servers that scrape their site much more aggressively than they have in the past. You can read more about it over here on the Invidious GitHub page.
Hey everyone! It's been quiet recently, but that doesn't mean progress isn't being made. I've been hard at work on the latest big feature for FreeTube, local profiles! It has been highly requested recently to have some way to organize your subscriptions in some sort of “folder” or “category”. My solution to making this happen will be with local profiles and in this blog I will be giving you a quick look at how is works.
I was originally debating if I wanted to make a new patch release, but the recent issues with the dash player ended up making the decision for me. Nevertheless, I'm here with a new patch release that fixes the recent issues as well as some nice features to go along with it.
Hey there everyone! Today is the release of what I consider one of the biggest FreeTube releases to date. With this release there are some big changes and I've knocked out a lot of highly requested features and fixes so let's go through all of them.
